Laboratory automation needs strong partners
This year, Labforward will demonstrate practical examples and processes from the areas of laboratory automation and monitoring at LABVOLUTION. These include our partners from essentim (IoT monitoring) and bAhead (robot implementation), who will be presenting the idea of an open and networked ecosystem in the laboratory with us at booth 020 C47 .
IoT Monitoring with essentim
Essentim sensor systems offer a scalable method for the secure recording and monitoring of parameters such as temperature, pressure, humidity, movement, light, energy consumption, and other measured variables. Essentim and Labforward have a close partnership in which a comprehensive plug-and-play laboratory monitoring solution has been developed. Essentim sensors can be implemented quickly, allowing real-time data to be transmitted and displayed via the lab operator dashboard. This solution offers laboratory users improved overview, traceability and reproducibility in their daily laboratory work.
Robotic by bAhead
The modular solution from bAhead, which fits seamlessly into the existing laboratory process landscape, enables automation and digitization without having to replace or adapt all of the hardware. At the heart of the bAhead solution is the cobot "Buddy", which is equipped with a camera and can take on all of the tasks that are traditionally done manually in the laboratory. From pipetting to operating centrifuges, inserting microtiter plates into a reader or controlling other devices - almost any activity can be carried out. Buddy weighs just a few kilograms and can be placed wherever it is needed without much effort.

Laboperator: Execution System for the Laboratory
The Laboperator Connector is a vendor-independent hardware solution that provides connectivity and data transfer capabilities to any device, regardless of age, make or model.
Implementing lab monitoring allows you to collect high-throughput data on a centralized platform. It allows you to maximize the potential of your equipment by streamlining and adjusting your experimental procedures without compromising on time of day or attendance. In short, a monitoring system gives you greater control over your lab.
